Children's book results

Here is my dummy book for my children's book illustration class.

We had to complete along with the story boards, character development, and dummy book, 3 final illustrations. I chose to do the cover and a double page spread here is the look the whole book would have.

This class was a lot of work but fun at the same time and I learned a lot. I was lucky to have a cool teacher you should check him out he does a huuuge amount of work for Garfield yes Jim Davis does not do any art himself anymore. Check out his site... http://www.garybarker.com/ .

Space maddness with space cadettes!

Here is an illustration I been working on I had originally done this in watercolor and guache but after much reworking digital seemed to work out best. I am still working on my style with traditional medias and I am determined to become better with it.

Ugly bug ball

I wanted to illustrate one of my favorite childhood songs "The Ugly Bug Ball" by Burl Ives. So here are my attempts of making some ugly bugs. It was fun I'm going to have to find excuses to make more of them.

Here is the final illustration after many changes.
